The Goblin Box is roughly based on the concept of a theremin, utilizing light sensors instead of radio waves. Two coarse tune knobs allow for a wide variety of sound, from simple tones to static chaos. This video shows it being used alone, then processed through a filter + delay.
You get quiet a lot out of that little box.

yeah, i have an mpc1000, often i'll do a good lil' shred and then dice it up on that. i got one of the goblin boxes on ebay now, if you want one!

Good generator- then the fx really make it. I've got something similar that I make audio samples with and then create custom patches on an Alesis QSR.
