DIY background project for my 220 gallon aquarium. Used styrofoam and carved it and then Sikatop 107 (instead of cement) to make it hard. Added cement coloring to color the sikatop.

@starthi you have to water the cement when it dryed ,and keep it wet ,never in a dry place!

can you just paint on the finished product? i made a terrarium background like thiis, but i threw the color in the concrete stuff... looks amazing btw. i think i'll try it like you, because an background the size i need cost more than the tank...

i was curious how the long term sikatop worked out. i used concrete, and it looked fine, but i got algae growing on it and i think it loosened the concrete and it turning to power now, and had places where the styrofoam is visible.
