The second part of many (4 of 5) in the Changes documentary to the highly acclaimed game Super Mario 64.
This part focuses on most of the stars that had some minor alterations to the release.
For example
Plunder in the Sunkern Ship:

N64: Open all 4 chests in order to rise the ship up and collect the star inside.
DS: There is only 1 chest to open so this version is easier.

None of the N64 clips were recorded by me.
All of the DS clips were recorded by me.

  • Which game do you think is harder. Some of the levels in SM64ds were made slightly easier, but there are 150 stars rather than 120 so...

  • @666blaziken

The first part is true, some of the level design changes made it easier but Bowser Tossing with a D-Pad made it harder, speed runners would need a bit of luck for 150 star runs thanks to the random silver rabbits.

  • there were only 2 parts?

  • @andoykids

Yeah.. I'm sorry about that, development issues on making a new video around that time (lacking a DVD recorder for instance and my 'video editing' pc was down at the time).

  • the 'you got a star' animation is a lot better in the n64 version then the ds, but that's about it i would say.

  • @UltraDOG17 they did.

  • @Greenalink oh, use action replay to make yoshi have mario's voice.

  • @soniclenkirbyfan8

    Yeah.

Yoshi also has the ability to select any cap at the start of the course playing as fake Mario/Luigi/Wario.

  • @Greenalink Is yoshi the same thing?
