Maine Coon loves water !

Ozzy, the Maine Coon adores playing in the bath tub. He jumped in all by himself...

What's on the bottom of the bathtub? I can only assume it's a rag or a bathroom carpet of some kind, but I just want to be sure. Surely his paws get wet after a bath, have you put down any towel on the floor for him to just do a "drive-by"-drying of his paws on or do you just pick him up and dry his paws yourself?

It's a rubber mat so he has a good grip.....There is also a rug in front

of the bathtub but his pows have to be additionally "hand squeezed" as that

thick fur can hold a lot of water ! Then comes the licking part, which is a nice entertainment for another couple of hours....

How big do Maine Coones get ?

Maine Coons are one of the biggest breeds of domestic cats and can grow up to 25 lbs, some even more. Ozzy is currently 3 1/2 years old and weights about 12 lbs. which is probably on the lower side of scale ( for Maine Coons) ... However, their growth can last until the age of four or later... Anyway, he is one adorable "Gentle Giant" ! ( about 39 inches long, from nose to the end of tail ! )

Thanks for your kind comment !Sometimes we do put a floating toy in, but what he likes the most is ice ( from the fridge ) ! He goes crazy when it starts making cracking sounds... This guy can unmistakenly identify open bathroom door from the other end of the house and if he doesn't hear the closing (door) sound within a couple of seconds, he'll jump in a bath tub immediately...

my maine coon used to jump in the shower with me ALL the time! and every time i turned on the sink, she was right there begging to play in the faucet!! we had to get her a water fountain so we didn't have to leave the sink on all the time!!
