  • Ok. The next album is called "Sex Drugs and Self Control" or something of the sort. All of these new videos are dealing with this subject. They are figurative. If you look at this one, for instance, you could say that he is wandering away from his life, what is important. When he is finally confronted with the problem, he realizes his mistake and runs as fast as he can away. Flee from temptation, like. He runs home; love doesn't care where you have been, it is just glad you are back!

  • Love the "Don't know who you are" part (35 sec)

  • "Look good, feel good, smell right, find a wife, do a dance, socialize: BREAK."

This is seriously the most glossed over line in this song. but it hits me right in the heart.

  • I love his monotone drawl. The chorus is so 'blah' and doesn't sound very emotive, but it works so perfectly!

  • Reuben!

  • wow

  • @PouchFilms That is a relief to read. But don't worry, John Reuben will knock us out of the park next time. I believe I do see what you're talking about. All of his new songs seem good, but lack the organization and flow his previous albums had. Either way, let's not write this album off, and wait to see what John Reuben brings us next time. Even if this album is a flunk, it's okay, all professionals have their flunks.

  • @TheAtcyJAC Naw, it just sounds unorganized and not as focused. His projects before - he seemed like he knew what he was doing. This seems a little messy and a random, and not in a good way. I haven't checked out this new album yet, and I most likely will, but yeah. His faith with God is between him and God, and as long as his music isn't blasphemous, I won't judge his music based on how I perceive his faith. Haha. Thanks for commenting, though! (I didn't want to sound too harsh in tone. )

  • @PouchFilms Every artist will have a part of their career that all of the fans will like. Just give him some time. I think this album is just fine. I like the songs I've heard from it personally. I am hoping that you don't think he is straying from God. I don't think he is, personally.

  • @acapellajohn Okay.... what? Romance and love does not = sex. Sorry, but that is just plain silly to say. The Songs of Solomon endorsed sex EVEN MORE then this ending. If the songs of solomon are in the bible and endorse sex even more, then this isn't bad at all.

  • ur awesome :D
