Don't speak on something you haven’t experienced yourself, Masons are simply put a Fraternity of Men, that's it, nothing more than a social club of sorts, and if we told everyone the password and handshakes there would be nothing to make us feel compelled to join. 2B1ASK1!!!!

The truth is because Freemasonry was so popular in Europe and especially England most of our founding father were Masons and loved the Fraternity for the Fellowship, and this is the reason for the strong Mason influence in everything they did, especially in Architecture. Now that being said there are many what we call irregular Masons who claim they are Freemasons, but do not follow the actual Rituals or Principles of Freemasonry.

People are afraid of the unknown. The whole conspiracy around Freemasons is the fear of the unknown and most of these very inaccurate and mostly false reporting is by Non-Masons, or Masons who were disgruntled about something they experienced while they were a member. I am a Mason and can tell you Masonry is not meant to replace ones religion but instills the belief that your religion is the most important priority.
