wow you peoples ignorance shocks me!for one the police officer obviously knows nothing about them for they do NOT have "lock jaws"they are not all "vicous" any dog can posses aggressive traits in the wrong circumstances!i am a 21 girl with two pits 3yrs and 13 weeks and they are the most loving loyal dogs ever.ill never own another breed.they need to show the pics of the so called"pitbulls" who attacked bc there are at least 22 breeds who resemble the same traits as pits get info bfore you judge

None of us stated "pit bulls have jaws that lock". The jaws aren't the problem. Its the pit bull that is attached to those jaws that won't let go and that uses those jaws with devastating effect. Pit bull break stick ring a bell? The only thing that troubles you is that I'm showing people the damage pit bulls can do. The pit bull that scalped Charlotte Blevins was "loving and sweet" too.

I think all large aggressive breeds should either be banned or regulated much more rigorously.

2nd, you really ought to re-edit the animal control officers part. that pause at the beginning kills it!

I laugh at all of you guys ignorance. It is the owner that makes the dog vicious. A dog isn't mean by heart. No dogs should be banned. What would happen if the decided to start banning golden retrievers? You would be horrified right? Golden retrievers have more dog bites than pitbulls do. So suck it up and stop blaming the dog. Blame the owner. If you see a kid running through a store, being disruptive and unruly, would you blame the child, or the parents for allowing the child to do that? Think

@9200burgess excatly there was a bulldog down the stret from me and the neighbors say it is a pit bukl but he and he is sweet and loving and then someone called a boxer pit mix evil he is sweet to he alwyas runs around playing with my 2 dogs i have even had a pit bull i have a vid on my channel

Very sad that people only believe what the media portrays to be a "dangerous breed" Most " pit bull attacks" broadcasted through media coverage are misidentified. I Volunteer with a Pit Bull Rescue out of Alabama and wish you could all learn about the positive pit bull. Ignorant and neglecting owners create the "killers" you see on t.v. I would invite any of you to meet all of the dogs from our program. Past, Present and Future. Bless the people who stand up and fight for these dogs rights

# words, American Temoerment Society..... Look it up and do your homework before sentenceing a certain breed to death. You never hear about the toy breeds that maul people, you never hear about any other breed but the American Pit Bull Terrier. I would suggest researching beyond the media hype before makeing the determination that they are a "Dangerous Breed".
