John Fernandez and his mother Christine Adams manage the Heart of The City Farmers Market located at San Francisco Civic Center, United Nations Plaza, Market and 7th Streets. The year round market is open on Wednesdays and Sundays from 7 a.m.--5:30 p.m.
The market features fresh produce, fish, flowers, plants, and specialty items like olives (all types) all the eggs you can think of (brown-organic-balut-duck eggs with the embryo).
Great food affordable too!

@tanyaazn - As I'm sure you know, we certainly never harass anyone at the market. We do occasionally document customers involved in violations of state laws (bringing their live animals within 20 feet of food, or with feces on their bags), or the birds struggling, crying or screaming from inside the customers' bags.
The market manager, Christine Adams, is who you should watch out for! See our video of her assaulting a poultry customer , by clicking on my handle for our video channel.

Shop there for many years love the market. But need to get rid of those crazy animal activist. This is the culture for many others shoppers. The animal activist harass me and other customers. I don't feel safe anymore cause the animal activist would harass me and my kids . i don't feel safe bringing my toddler there to shop it's sad cause I used to go there with my mom and shop when I was a kid. I remember them following me around the market . I think that it's crazy that their allowed to
