Dora-nominated dancer Karen Kaeja creates an atmospheric work of privacy that opens its doors in The Visitor. The soloist lives inside a world of visceral anticipation while waiting. Commenting on loneliness, The Visitor exploits the anticipation of waiting for someone or something through the eyes of a woman attempting to function while slipping away from herself.

The world premiere of The Visitor took place during Kaeja d'Dance's twentieth anniversary production, 20/20 Vision, presented as a part of Harbourfront Centre's NextSteps Series at Enwave Theatre, April 12-16, 2011. Subsequent performances have included Older & Reckless (Toronto) and Confluence (Montreal).
