The cornerstone of this diet (and what makes it work) is the fact that the foods are low in "bad carbs" and sugars and high in protein. This puts your body in a state called ketosis, which is also sometimes called "fat burning mode." If you eat the foods that you're sent and follow the guidelines as to what foods / or sides that you're adding in, it's my opinion that you should not have a problem getting in or reaching ketosis.
