This SAG Actors Rally, at CBS, had a very large turnout. Over 100 Actors showed up and marched with picket signs. Including some of those you see here: Tony Danza, Frances Fisher, Scott Wilson, and an actress whose name I do not know. Apologies. There's other clips, on this site, with other actors who you may recognize.
I found the large turnout surprising, when you consider that for every actor that shows, there must be many others that didn't, even if they wanted to. How do I know? Because under normal circumstances, all actors are terrified, they live with constant job insecurity, constant anxiety about working again, getting hired...
To ask any actor to picket in front of a network, where perhaps, a foremost goal in their life, might be to work on a series on that very network...well, need I say more?
What also surprised me, was the public support from the street. From the cars that went by. You can hear it on this clip, the constant and loud honking of car horns, and the yelling out. The interviews from this day had to be edited repeatedly, to try to filter some of that out, simply to be audible. If you hear anyone yelling into the microphone (including me) on any of these CBS Actor Rally clips, that's why.
