  • Uh...ok then. Ian Dunbar is LEGEND in the R+ training word, a prolific author, the first to recommend training for puppies as soon as their eyes open, a DVM, and Ph.D. in animal behavior. Now, what are your credentials? Likely the same as that knob Ceasar Milan --- none.

  • I see you're selling pit bulls. As a long time SPCA volunteer and volunteer with a local pit bull rescue, as well as the very proud companion of a formerly abused pit bull, I hope that you'll go see the 'serenity' room at your local SPCA abd get a ph.d in genetics before you continue to breed more dogs that will likely end up in the hands of abusers. Backyard breeders like you are idiots that should be jailed.

  • @Mewsaphine This may be a bit late in replying BUT Cesar is often dealing with last chance dogs. He does NOT hang the dogs, shock collars are used when there is no other method likely to work and the dogs life is in danger if it carries on the unwanted behaviour! He uses it correctly i.e. when the dog is 100% focused on the unwanted behaviour. To be perfectly honest you are looking at the what is done NOT HOW it is carried out and WHY it is carried out.

  • beautiful...the last 10 seconds brought tears in my eye :)))))

  • I just wanted to say, I think Dr. Ian Dunbar is a doggie genius!!! :) Now if he could properly inform the world of Training Instructors, our dogs AND ourselves would be much better off!!!! :) I hope I can meet him someday!!!!

  • Great tips, as usual. Thank you!

  • @badabingrockford Your hostility is unwarranted. However, I will fill you in. I own a former bait/fight pit who was severely dog aggressive, and would have been put down after being seized from the abandoned property. I've used a plethora of training methods, and sadly used a few of his in my earlier days of training before I knew better, but NONE I wouldn't have dreamed of using any of his methods when working with Dex. Continuing education is the key here, and he isn't furthering his...buddy.

  • @Mewsaphine well when he pulls up that means he doesnt wanna get bit if you no anything about training every trainer will pull up so the dog cant get at you and all police use e collars do you see cops carry little treats with them? no you dont most e collars today vibrate they dont shock thats old days buddy i think your outdated and who cares how he trains them they would probably be dead with out him if you dont like cesar dont use his method very easy buddy

  • I've seen Dr. Dunbar in action. I've heard him speak at dog trainer conferences, and seen him outside of the professional arena. He is an amazing man, an amazing trainer, and I have nothing but good to say about him and his methods. I've learned that it's pointless to argue with the Cesar fanatics so guys, save your breath, and continue to train on the positive forward track. Cheers to the trainers who understand!

  • @badabingrockford Really? Cesar uses shock collars. His methods are old techniques. As dog trainers should constantly be learning new and more humane methods of training that will help us better communicate with our dogs without causing them harm or stress. When Cesar does pull up he is essentially HANGING the dog, choking it. I'm surprised you haven't realized he's all but using the helicopter training technique when doing that. He's just not swinging the dog around.

  • @fairytala well show me where he chokes a dog show me a video? and when he does pull up that means the dog will bite him so it blocks the dog from biting cesars leg or hand and what you dumb people out there dont understand if it was abuse humane society would of shut him down 6 years ago hes 7 years strong and can walk a pack of 30 dogs and they stay behind him he is working with dogs that kill and attack not puppys or pussy dogs so until then shut the fuck up you jealous basterd

  • @badabingrockford

I didn't say he'd beat them, but he strangles them with his famous "special leash".

Ceasar is a piece of dog-abusing shit.

Ian Dunbar shows that dog-training works perfectly fine without force andwithout harm and without STRANGLING poordogs!
