JayB Productions - Regenzeit (Youtube Cut)

Hi there!

Just wanted to present you my first release. In my opinion it's not my best, but at least it's a release. On Avalanche Records, a daughter of Bonzai Music.
The track can be bought at too many web stores: web-records.com, itunes, TrackItDown, AOL and whatever.

This is a cut version, that's why some transitions sound strange. The original mix is about 8 minutes long and it's the only one available at stores.

Sequenced in emagic Logic 5. Used hardware: Yamaha S80, AN1x, QY100, Korg X5D, Quasimidi Sirius, Roland V-synth XT. Software: EXS24, Novation V-Station, Korg Legacy Collection, ImageLine Toxic III

It's produced on the computer. Parts of it are programmed (e.g. drums, a few arpeggio lines etc.) and some elements are played live (pads, melody, bassline etc.) and quantisized afterwards.

Very nice track! One question on the sounds: How did you do the kick drum and clap / snare sound? I.e. which VSTi plugins or hardware / preset patches or sample cd did you use? I search for a similar kick and clap sound but all I can find are those classic Roland TR808 and 909 drum sounds which are obsolete and outdated in todays trance music. Also: how did you master the track? That pumping sound is nice! Thanks for explanation! :)
