  • I was wondering if this is good in America as well. Also I wanted to know if you have any future improvements that you would like for the internet of the future? I am asking for a class that I am taking on technology particularly for vision impaired people. Thank you for this video and your website. You are making a real contribution to the world and should be very proud!

  • This is fine for America or anywhere a Windows PC is being used.

Increasingly vision impared people are using voice input (e.g. Dragon Naturally Speaking)but it needs a screenreader to be integrated with it (screenreader reads out, or 'echos' input when dictating). The reader needs to know when commands are being addressed to it ('Read line' intercepted and not just added to the document). It gets expensive buying dictator, reader and integrator a simple solution would be good.

  • @itchuk i have prosessing auditory disorder will this help me can this even work for books

  • @mileylover100ful it would read out an online book. As it is free you can try it and see if you like it. Only if you really do like it but find the voice needs improvement would you consider buying an additional voice for it.

  • Hello Roger and Margaret. I work at Linden Lodge School in Wimbledon, London and think this package is fantastic. I am not aware if the school has heard of it so I am goign to pass your information onto our Literacy teacher. Thank you for your good work and good luck.

  • im using windows 7 operating system..whenever i run the thunder application i can no longer use caps lock.. has anyone else come across this problem? thank you

  • Thanks for this great demonstation. For me, as a webdeveloper, this was a grand information, to see how this kind of software works.

    Regards.

  • Free solutions such as this WONDERFUL program are absolutely A GOD SENT for the visually impaired community. So many people cannot afford the expensive alternatives, and were left out in the dark ages for so long. Thank You, Thank you, Thank You! May God so richly bless you my friends.

  • Your Krop function solves the problem of having to listen to large navigation menus on every page. This is the right solution, rather than trying to get all web designers to include a "skip navigation" link like another video was advocating.

  • thank you for this. As a person who will be blind soon I started using Apple. (Mac) and all my programs talk. I had it set up that way, It didn't cost much and I was able to do it for my needs on my own,

IDEA: Contact both Steve Jobs at Apple AND Bill Gates at Microsoft. It's a great way to get the companies to gain credibility and help others. I did this some years back when I was doing research and work with disadvantaged severely handicapped children in South Africa,

  • Great Video!
