While attending the Word Open at Robinson Ranch Near El Toro California in 1975 and 1976 I had the opportunity to Hang Glide at Torrey Pines in San Diego and Captured some movies from that adventure. I hope that you enjoy what I have to offer and if you would like further info e-mail me at -

  • Glad that you all enjoyed the Torrey video. It was a great time for me too. I am just a guy from London, Canada who drove twice for the World Open comps near San Diego and am still flying since 1968 first with flat kites and in 1972 my first Moyes Delta Wing Hang glider.

  • Come on smiley, get to Torrey Pines flight park and take a tandem ride. You will love it.

  • Those were good times. I enjoyed being there and being part of it. I’m the guy that lived in the camper on an old orange Dodge pickup. Cal Gliders rule…Windgypsy MKIV now that’s (was) high performance!

I learned (nobody taught me) how to fly in 69, the summer of love. I have survived 42 years of flying and I am still flying today... What a long strange trip it's been...

    Peace man

  • Great video. Thank you. I've never been hang gliding but I so enjoyed watching this. I'm just a 40 year San Diego resident who has spent so many good times there at Torrey Pines. Might even be a tear in the old eyes...

  • Hang gliders pushed out sailplanes, paragliders are trying to push out hanggliders. sad I hang glide. say hi to hiney, kenny bryington,

Bob K. and the torrey hawks. Oh and the guy in the trailer that fixed my downtube in an hour so I could keep flying. Jerry in tooele ut

  • COOL. No paragliders

  • Great footage. Capturing the transitions many manufacturers were involved in creating something other than the standard rogollo. I have always loved this genertion of gliders for their aesthetic appeal. Looked like a great day!

  • Who are you SKYDOG? Your videos are priceless! and so is your audio!!! Whack Westfall

  • Thanks for bringing that back to life!
