@shujinco2 I believe the American version has continues as well. You can get them by collecting the Keymaster debris, although it's much harder in the US version.

Huh. I always found Twin Freaks the hardest.  I found Dark Demon especially hard as a kid, but I think that's mostly because I didn't know to pay attention to the orb's color.
