Karol Szymanowski (1882-1937) plays his own mazurkas op 50 nr 1 and op 62 nr 1
recorded around 1935 (perhaps earlier).
Quite magical to hear karol szymanowski playing the piano himself!
He is one of my favorite composers

Man I really love that first mazurka. Brings up a nostalgic feeling inside me, couldn't tell you why though.

That's extremely precious- Szymanowski always panicked when he had to play piano in public and he begged Rubinstein to play instead himself. Besides I think that Szymanowski was a better pianist than Rubinstein.

Nice to see the recording is appriciated... For me, he sometimes seems to say "did you hear this, did your that", as if he was teaching... :) But it's fascinating to hear the composer play his own work!
