you should hear this partricular siren from inside Building 300(thats the building it is mounted on now.....it sounds loud once u get to the top floor) i can remember when it used to be perched up top of building 25 when it was still standing.....btw i used to work downtown at pfizer so i had the pleasure of hearing it being tested one saturday when i was working....i stood outside and it was loud

where is the 1000 located at?

@amtrak3501 Its located at the Pfizer plant on Portage Rd. Kinda hard to spot it cause its painted gray and blends in with the other stuff at the plant, but you can see it from Portage Rd as you drive past. I have only heard that one from miles away, but I am pretty sure its a 1000.

Does the county do Alert or did you miss the Alert Signal and i hear a 2001 too

@garyhstorms10 This siren is not part of the city/county system. Its main purpose is industrial warning, but it also sounds for tornado warnings. Thats why it only runs in attack.
