Outstanding British Girl Choir Cantamus performing on the annual Big Sing in 2006. This is usually recorded in the Royal Albert Hall in September of each year.

Some of the songs recorded at that time are broadcast in October, some are broadcast at New Years Eve. This song was broadcast in October 2006.

The soaring vocals in this song are performed by Lucy Hall, currently in her early twenties, and therefore having graduated from Canatamus. She is continuing her musical studies, and I wish her the very best.

  • Well, grifee,

Have you bad experiences with grandma's singing? Or don't you like hem to be old? Then I have bad news for you. Some 40 or 50 years from now, you will be very old too. Will you like it when your grandkids at that time make similar disparaging comments about your personal abilities?

Oh, as you seem to have experiences with old grandma's, may I ask how many of them you have got? Most decent people only have 2, but you? Have you had 10 of them? 20? 1000?

    Uggh. Awful.

  • What an amazing day this was! i will never forget the feeling of how great it was to sing in such an amazing hall! one of the best days of my life!

  • Dear Laura,

Do I take it you are a member of the choir? My heartiest congratulations for a superb performance!

It's one of my favourite versions of this song.

  • Dear Gerit,

Cantamus are indeed an excellent choir. Shaping and developing this choir has been Pamela Cook's life's work. The staff, girls, and associates are celebrating the 40th Anniversary this year. We are all grateful for your comments.

  • Dear Carolynn,

I believe you have been trying to answer my private message to you yesterday? If you did, I only received an incomplete message.

    Gerrit
