@TheAlecore Well, I wouldnt stay in a 'family' I wasnt happy in, so why should he? Its like a family, it isnt actually a family. I would rather people were happy so if thats what he needed to do, then thats fine with me.
Obviously some people expect band members to never change or desire to do anything else with their lives...quite selfish really. You'd rather he were miserable in a band he doesnt want to be in so you can keep the music going. No way to justify that really.

@emmajd1 why stay? A band is like a family , and if they are not , u cant play well , so...i mean , if u leave a band , the band is the last reason of it , and music is the reason before the last.....solo project = leave a band , there are no way to justify him.
