Weird voltage problem on my MK3 Supra

Can't figure this out. Battery tested good, rewired the alt directly to the battery with 8g wire. Was running fine, 14.5 volts and then randomly one day it went to 11.5-11.9 in an instant. Drove the car the next day and it started up and idled at 11.9 volts and jumped back up to 14.5ish for the rest of the ride. What the hell.

Have you figured it out? same thing happens to me with my Land Cruiser. I start it up first time in the morning and runs around 12 volts and after 2 minutes or so jumps up to the usual 14. something.

@unidad355 Turned out to be the alternator. Thought it was, just was confused why it was doing what it was doing.
