  • "4 years later same vaults"

Her Rudi improved a lot though.

  • Alicia's DTY was higher, had more distance and better form than Rosu. Alicia's second vault, I think has a higher start-value as well which is a 9.9

  • can you imagine alicia's legs wrapped around you??

    that is a scary thought....

  • @LadyBeaverhausen not really comparing her to others because she has so much more power than her competition....

  • @lingketon

Because so many people stick vault! How many vaults in the 2008 Olympic VT final were stuck? Ah, that's right!

  • @serenenz Much better height, distance, and form. Rosu had a pretty severe knee bend on her second vault, and not nearly as much height or distance as Sacramone.

  • @lingketon but they are done nearly perfectly otherwise... so it pays off anyway.

it's like the difference between having lower start values done perfectly or higher start values done decently - it may make for less perfect gymnastics, but it gets the job done.

  • although she is considered a vault specialist, she rarely sticks her vaults...

  • This should NOT have won gold over Rosu.. how on earth did this win gold??

  • she has really improved on her rudi vault. i think that alicia is used to piking down on that rudi because she used to do a 1.5 piked rudi, but now she has perfected the laidout
