really because i have a black berry pearl 8130, without a data plan, because on connections my data is ENABLED, so i only pay for vioce and text. ,.. so you should no your facts befor talking because clearly your wrong

I put a piece of 3M packing tape over mine, clear as a bell. Screen only. Cracks in device are to allow heat escape. No poop, probably cost less than two cents. Trim around the edge of the screen with an exacto to remove the excess. Don't tell any bse manufacturers though, they will have at least a thousands why you should never use your common sense and save that screen with a single piece of transparent tape.

There is indeed a Pearl 8130 which is exclusive to Verizon Wireless.

Let me start by telling you that I am a Level 3 Cellular Repair Technician.
You Probably got the case to protect it from physical damage since you just sank 500 bucks in the thing, but the case can't cover the sides.
If the device were completely covered it would actually cause liquid damage that would destroy the processor because it gives off heat. If the heat can't escape excess amounts of 02 build up causing humidity in the chipsets and transceiver.
So don't go saran wrappin' that thing.

The skin has a several piece design, so individual pieces of the skin are molded to fit different components on the phone, so it isn't covering any places where heat would escape.
