I made a short clip using the GFS and then plugged into the exact same setup with the same strings when I swapped it with the JB... quite a difference. The pickups were not connected to a tone pot.

I used a Roland Microcube (rec out) on the "clasic stack" setting into a Macbook pro laptop.

  • What song at 2:29 ??

  • Cat Scratch Fever - Ted Nugent... if I can remember well... :-))

  • 0:12 What Song Is This???

  • It's a free rendition of the riff in "Heartbreaker" by Led Zeppelin

  • Which do you like better? I think the Vintage 59 sounds better.

  • It sounds better in the recording because it has a lot of highs... the JB sounds fuller and has more mids. Depends what you need. In my previous band I needed the GFS for more vintage like and clean sounds, but the JB rules for muscular rock solos. I think they are both great pickups.

  • I like both, I reckon they would be perfect together in a band :D

But a stupid part of me will always prefer the Seymour Duncans because of the label :L

  • The GFS hands down. The JB is too dark.

  • Would you say this is a pretty good PAF? Meaning does it have the correct characteristics.

  • now thats a demo... SD 59 sounded more fuller and GFS,,,not too bad thanks

  • how did you get fender spaced? it doesn't say on the website

  • Hey I have a fender squire, and I just baught the JB Seymour Duncan Humbucker pickup for it, does anyone know how to wire this? I have a soldering gun and all the tools, I just want to do it properly, and thought my best bet would be to ask someone who knows what they're doing If oyu can help me email plumbntheworld@yahoo.com Ty very much anyone who helps..

  • whats the song at 1:08?

  • @six0string0samurai buy it and tilt it, you can buy a pickguard with a tilted 'bucker at warmoth.

  • @DarthKazi which is why some people tilt the humbucker sideways to make them aline properly. like my strat with a SD custom

  • @DarthKazi

    Thanks dude.
