The kids good with everything except the u turns. He's slowing down way to early and now switching gears. He needs to get as close as he can to that u, shift his gears down to 2nd, it will lock his tires and when it does that, he should turn his handlebars, and it should whip him around, then switch to 3rd and powerhouse it. Lol hope I helped

@wmhoneybucket I see what you mean... It's just so upsetting! He's so talented. I hope he gets recognized by the right people someday and he makes it all the way! Some people have no morals =( Good luck to you guys!!

@wmhoneybucket I just figured out how to use the reply button =) I was just looking at some of the older videos, and will definitely have my son watch them. Your boy looks like he's having so much fun. That's why we do it too. Something he gets to enjoy and family time together! We load up the camper and spend the weekends at the track. When not at the track we're working on bikes or spending time in our field practicing.
That's awesome!! You sound just like my husband. He does the same thing with the knuckles to all the kids at the line. Sometimes he gets the strangest looks from the other dads... Sometimes another rider's dad will stop by my son and give him a short pep talk too. It's great to see that. We have no tolerance for negativity. As long as he tries hard, doesn't give up, has a little fun, and respects everyone else, we can't ask for more than that from a kid! =) Best of luck to you guys!!

You HAVE to be joking!? >: [ That's so horrible!! How could someone do that to a kid!!?? Like you said, Karma! I'm sure he'll make it next time. Gonna have to keep the bike in a locked trailer to keep it safe. Everyone we've met in the motocross community has been so nice! Guess there will always be those you can't trust. I love when you said to him "HAVE FUN!!" That's what we tell our son too! We don't want him to be an aggressive rider. I will have to check back for more vids! =)

@deannagrn NO NOT JOKING! Too cool you heard that! Not too many dads say that.... I personally go down the line every gate and get knuckles from EVERY rider and say "get some!" and tap knuckles! It's my way of saying to each kid that I'm paying attention to them ... each kid is unique and "figures it out" at their own pace... It's my way of be "dad" to each one.... I'm also the "go to guy" for parts... lol oh well.... That's racin'....

@deannagrn You have to understand that at this level.... NO one is going to give a ghetto kid on a 2004 a chance....period! Think about it.... IF he made it.... What would happen.... it's purley economics and sales... I was "hopeing" for top 20.... IF that happened what would be the fall out... against 2011 bikes... ? You make the call.... and it's NOT AMA... it's the competitors PARENTS!!!!

Very impressive!! He's so fast and very consistent! My son is 8, started riding last year. He's still on a 50, but we just started practicing with the 65 yesterday. Like jpissabella, I hope my son can ride half as good as yours when he's 11! Keep up the good work. I bet he made Regionals!! Good luck at Nationals! =)

@deannagrn Not to go on a rant... But have your little man on the 50 watch some of my other vids from younger years to give not only him but you an idea of were he should be progressing to... my best wishes to you and him to get where HE wants to be... Remember it's all about him... Never forget that!
PEACE!
