Okay, but now you're excusing criminality based on context. The wealthy cause most of the instability in society, including the poverty that creates petty crime.

How often do you really get burgled? I've never been, I grew up in the ghetto and I have never been burgled or threatened with a weapon.

And here is another thought, how often do police actually intervene and stop a crime in progress? I mean, actually protect you from a crime? Even rarer I bet.

Yeah, no doubt there are some rich criminals, but, c'mon, they're not the ones you or I have to worry about on a daily basis. It's violent, gun-toting thugs who might shoot you dead for your wallet or becuase you were in the wrong convenience store at the wrong time. Rich criminals may piss me off and hurt society but they don't destroy my personal property or put me or anyone I care about in danger.

Duh, rich people don't burgle houses or commit grand theft auto. They steal on a much larger scale. Have you not been paying attention? The ponzi schemes, the military industrial complex, Enron. Pay the fuck attention, rich people fleece you more soundly than anyone else.

That's what this "recession" is about, it's society paying the price tag for the burglary of the rich. Get your head screwed on straight.
