Cooking mishaps happen

Highly acidic foods discolor the inside of the pot. Heat marks from appear on the outside from cooking with a too high of a temperature.

Removing heat marks from stainless steel pots

To remove heat marks, make a paste out of stainless steel cleaner and water. Gently rub in a circular motion. Rinse off and dry off.

Burned on food?

Mix a solution of baking soda and white vinegar. Let it sit for a few minutes, add water and simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes. Let it cool down and scrub with a nylon pad.

  • The best stainless steel and aluminuum cleaner I have come across is

Quickleen S. Non Toxic, safe to use yet 11 times more powerful than Causic Soda

  • There's lots of ways to clean stainless steel successfully. Unfortunately, pans (even frying pans) tend to be made out of impossible-to-clean aluminium. Can't you make some small (6") stainless steel frying pans, complete with glass lid?
