Uhm. Where does 1 begin w/ this? Q remaking himself as he does from time to time, with great result.This is the REAL FUNKY 'Qs Jook Joint' vers ft Ray Charles, Chaka Khan, Charlie Wilson & Brandy on lead vocals. Chaka was on the original as were composers Ashford & Simpson who are in the background mix here also, w/ Patti Austin etc etc etc. Quincy has such a unique gift for putting seemingly diverse elements/genres together & amazingly always making it work! LOL.

the original is done by Ashford and Simpson , Shaka Khan and someone said MJ did some of the backing vocals ....The song was included on Jones' 1978 album Sounds...And Stuff Like That!.
this particular version is from the 1995 album Q's Jook Joint where the song is tweaked .... vocals include y Ashford & Simpson, Khan, Brandy, Charlie Wilson and Ray Charles while Greg Phillinganes was playing keyboards
