why do all hypnotist pace the stage? Is this part of there training or just because they are nervous.

I just had my HS graduation party at some center and there was a hypnotist present. He asked 30 people to get on stage and sit in chairs. Maybe like 6 left because they tried to challenge him, but it was jaw dropping. They really are not aware of what they're doing. I was too scared to go up there. I should've.
