Watch as Gerard Butler and Christian Bale re-create a little piece of cinematic history for a group of very enthusiast children in Rob Bowman's 2002 film, "Reign Of Fire".

I haven't actually finished the movie yet but this scene made me so giddy I had to upload it ASAP.

Edit: Finished it. I really liked it up until that "Here's to evolution" line at the very end, very lame. Actually I thought that whole second ending was stupid and unnecessary, we already knew "that" was going to happen, they didn't have to re-show it to us and treat us all like idiots. GOSH.

I do not own this. All credit goes to its rightful owners. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED!

  • @phoenixgirl66 Wait that's Butler!

  • It actually makes sense that Star Wars (the original trilogy, at least) would survive as a story and be handed down in the post-apocalyptic future. And of course, Lucas probably wouldn't have survived, so in a lawless time with little to no real civilization, ownership would be up for grabs whether there are people around to remember Georgey or not. Besides, with what Lucas is currently doing to the franchise, would we really want Star Wars associated with him anymore?

  • damn, Leonidas and Batman playing Star Wars dress up? lol I totally forgot about this scene

  • watched this movie yesterday...totally lol-ed at this

  • @TheGwenjamin I don't. I'm just snarking. But y'know, whenever an American or Australian film does similar to British culture, the Brits come screaming. I find it ironic and hilarious.

  • @RavnDream Dude don't take it so seriously. It's just a joke, it's not meant as a culture reference :P

  • I love the implication that the Original Trilogy will survive everything up to and including whatever Lucas decides to do with it.

  • @TheGwenjamin Funny, folks were saying that the first time they watched "Star Wars" -- in 1977. (Books, man.)

  • Black suits, capes and masks is what Bale likes most :)

  • "Of course I did!"

Aww, isn't that cute; even after the apocalypse, the Brits insist America has no culture...and insist on ripping that "nonexistent" culture off. Yeah, of course you made that up. I suppose George Lucas is a totally imaginary figure, too?
