I love the strutting which you can find with less strange hats and simpler foot stomping everywhere in the world. We owe the British historically a debt of gratitude for the wonderful and meaningless displays of pomp, mustaches, hypocrisy and power. Now if the politicians worked together this would be just a great show to reflect the silliness of politics, but they do not really care about their people anywhere in the world. Great exterior performance, no substance.

Before these guys make a buffonery of our traditions I just wanna know why the British democratically elected Parliament run on taxpayers money employs guards for the Queen and they do change of guards like a ceremony everyday? Isnt that stupid??? Thats a bigger joke where they waste resources for an Old figurehead lady who has world trips at the cost of tax payers!! This Wagah border ceremony is a protocol and it has nothing to do with enmity or animosity!!

well if u are indian and saying this then u have a zero knowledge of traditions..... Indian society and specially indian army is built on traditions... u know what compells a soldier to lay down his life??? not his country but his regiment ..... u sit here because of those handful guys..

I got to see this in person recently and the video fails to capture the energy from the crowd. It really is something to experience: schoolgirls running up and down with giant Indian flags, people dancing to bhangra music, and, while security is tight, the guards are the nicest people in the world. There is no sense of animosity towards Pakistan. It's a sense of the two groups working together to close the border for the night. They shake hands and salute each other, like 'job well done'.
