@sleepy310714 no argument, just telling truth about history of the music. righteous brothers, dusty springfield, steve winwood, rascals and other whites performed soul & r&b, but it is still music created by black americans. blacks sing music created by whites like opera and country, but that does not mean country and opera is black music.

@joshuatruet You better look closer, the crowd is not segregated. Why can't you just enjoy this great song and leave the political and social crap out of it. Of course everyone knows about discrimination but the music, the memories are powerful and yes in many cases music did bring people together. I'm Mexican and it was soul music that I gravitated to and my best friends in the army and at home were black. Just enjoy this awesome song by a great and beautiful singer.
