Après Moi is my favourite song... it's funny analyse other person singing your most memorable song... I must say that he has a great voice, but I miss so much the piano... Whatever, it's a good version... I like male voices perfoming Regina's songs.

Great artists copy. Genious steal. Hadnt lost your touch, Gabe. Imposibly ominous.

Resta comunque, pura magia.

The vocals on this track are not as powerful, but his concert performances are perfect power. Intoxicating.

@lacksmyorganics not weak?

@lacksmyorganics It is a different style, it is comparing pears with pinneaples, both versions have their own merit, but I agree that Peter Gabriel making a cover of Regina is quite surprising.
It's so cool that Peter Gabriel covered a Regina Spektor song!!! We should just remember that.

My personal opinion is that Regina Spektor has a certain playfulness in her voice, something she can't ever not do, and, while it adds a certain element of insanity to this song in her version, Peter Gabriel's version emanates a feeling of tragedy and panic which much surpasses the original. Too bad he didn't also sing the russian part, those lyrics are absolutely heart-wrenching...
