I finally got Lasik. My contacts where really bothering me -- dry eye, shifting off my cornea -- especially bad while driving.

I hear ya, I've never had the compressed air myself, but have had bits of steel picked out more than once. You wouldn't want your obstetrician blowing compressed air at ya, LOL

Haha I hate the opticians, they tried to give me contacts, but I couldn't get them in, apparantly my eye lid reactions are too strong or something, and she couldn't keep them open with this strange tool thing to get the contacts in hahaha.. aah well
never had the air thing though... sounds kinda scary :S

I can't do contacts either, have a hard time gettin'them in, and one of my cornias got cut, although healed now it leaves a slightly raised scar so to speak and is irritated with contacts. :)
