Anentome helena eating frenzy

I gave my Assassin snails (Anentome helena) some thawed adult Artemia salina to eat and filmed it at 30x normal speed. As you can see, I have quite a few offspring ranging from about 1 mm to 6 mm shell length.

shrimp safe? I have mine with cherry reds and i was wondering if they will hunt and easily kill my speedy cherry reds? i hope not. I feed them plenty.

@ciciironwill27: They are shrimp safe. I keep some with red cherry shrimp as well. No problems at all.

plz reply i have had my snail for a few hours now and it hasent moved wots going on is it dead ????

That happens sometimes. Even though I have lots and lots of these, sometimes I can't find a single one moving around - they do like to bury themselves as well. Odds are it'll be in another place tomorrow.

Gruesome but fascinating. My 2 JTS's are slow pokes,they would never be able to outrun one of those snails. Even at regular speed those snail eaters are faster than my 2 JTS's. 40 snails in a week? unbelievable. Great video.

at 02:04 you see one of them dig himself into the sand, that why you wont see them often :P
