Breaking up with Xi-Lian (Macbook Pro 15 inch Custom)

Another video from my Animation Survey class...
The assignment was to write a letter breaking up with an object and leaving it for another- so I'm breaking up with my new computer, Xi-Lian, for my many sketchbooks. This is actually based in fact, as I got obsessed with my new computer for awhile there, and had to bring up a lot of moderation and discipline in myself to combat it. XD

*DISCLAIMER* - I'm not sure what Xi-Lian means, or even if I'm pronouncing it correctly... it's just the name... she sounded like she should have. She named herself. XD I decided, ever since I found out that my computer was coming from Shanghai, that of course, she would be Chinese. : D So, the girl in the video is a personification of her - she's an acrobat (hence the fancy costume), and can handle many things at once. And she's very eager to please and show off, just like a kid. That's all. ^_^

I learned how to use After Effects on this, as well as use Final Cut Pro, and iShowU, a screen capture program, for the text and video portions. Still frames were just Apple-Shift-3, though. XD The drawings used were created in photoshop and then imported into AE.

It was a lot of work, but I'm pretty proud of it. I wish I would've given myself more time, so I could've done more animation itself on this (XI-LIAN JUGGLING. ARRGH.) but I think this more concise version might be better?
We'll see.
