  • I HATED the gauntlet of frenzied orientation team members you had to run through to get into the Fieldhouse. So embarrassing.

  • Aw I'm sorry you felt that way... most people I've talked to have said that was their favorite part! =)

  • I wonder who sings the song? Cool video!

  • First Song:

    Tree 63

    "You Only"

    Second Song:

    David Crowder Band

    "No One Like You"

  • @azaeliasidhe Haha....that was a little scary, but kind of exciting to, you've got to admit :)

  • @cheesemonkey1990 Other people teach there that are not so awesome. FUS is a mixed bag for sure.

  • This school is the best!!! Absolutely amazing! Everyone is so loving!

  • So if Franciscans are Main Street, Jesuits are Wall Street to make the analogy is it?

  • Dr Scott Hahn teacher here, he is awesome.

  • I'm not questioning the Church's authority or the life saving truth that she teaches. Not all of the professors at FUS are faithful Catholics in the sense that you are thinking, despite the oath. It's easy to fudge an oath insofar as an oath uses words and words being inherently vague can be adhered to in multiple ways. The fact that they take an oath is really proof of nothing, in fact, FUS isn't really what it sells itself as at all. Many profs and administrators aren't Catholic.

  • That's actively seeking truth. The Holy Spirit has safeguarded the Truth in the Church. We can trust the Church's teachings. It is the pillar and foundation of truth(1Tim3:15). The professors take an oath to teach the Catholic faith in line with the Magisterium before every school year starts. What goes awry for a minority cannot be held to represent the majority. To an extent it IS what you invest:nothing guarenteed, but you have a better chance of having a life long foundation if you pursue it

  • I don't believe God is in control of my every action, nor do I believe that God is concerned with where I go to study. I don't think all that much is going on at FUS, I can't help but feel my secular college's Catholic group was both spiritually more fruitful (less pride and/or nuttiness) and yet more active at the same time. How do you know its one of the "best in the country"? The Newman guide is a DISASTER! I wouldn't recommend going to any of those dead end schools, that guide is fantasy.

  • What if you shed part of what you used to believe is True because you realize something true that contradicts what you previously believed? For instance, what if I erroneously believed that Japan was in China, and I believed that it was true, until someone had the kindness to point out that it was a separate island nation off the coast of China and not in fact part of China. I now believe something different which is true, and I have shed off what I now believe to be error. Isn't this possible?

  • If God calls someone someplace, how are they supposed to know that God is in fact calling them? I don't think God does have a set "plan" for my every action, and I don't think God is necessarily worried about where I choose to study. I don't think all that much happens at FUS, my secular college's Catholic group was better and more active than anything I've seen at FUS. The Newman guide is a DISASTER, I wouldn't recommend going to ANY of those schools for a college education. It's just fantasy.
