@matter0ni Not sure if you noticed or not but this machine is working in a Plantation or Treefarm wich is just like a Farm that grows Vegatables. Do you complain when they clear Forest to make Fields so we can eat. Probebly not.
Most forestry work is a sustainable Industry. Select cut, Thinings, Clearcut for replanting etc. Now when you are talking cutting in the Tropical Rainforest its a diffrent story, that should be stoped asap. Do your Studys and then talk please.

This is why we will have no Earth left to enjoy in the future. Humanity fail

@tbirdpimp07 This is a tree farm same as a corn field and no one crys for the corn...
Come back in 10-15 years and you can cry over the same kind of trees being cut down again for the same reason, paper. These trees are harvested for paper. I understand they strip the bark right there because it turns very hard when dry and yet peels like a grape when first cut down. I think they run a giant mulcher through then replant with euchalyptus again, it grows very fast, like a weed.

(And for those few who would not know wood industry companies are bound by international law to plant new trees instead of those cut)

I think people who have problems with treecutting have some serious mental issues. If you really wish you may go back to the stonage, or whatever you want, but leave people desiring development in technology alone with your crap. You sure don't have the imagination to see that hugging trees and chewing grass won't take humanity nowhere. At least technology will take us somewhere, and wherever that is, I'm dyin' to find out! By the way the soundtrack IS really awesome, what's it called?

This is what we loosely call a "Paul Bunyan machine." The name is based on course on the legendary American lumberjack Paul Bunyan. A larger version of the machine (but fictional) appeared in one of the Walt Disney comics about Uncle Scrooge, who bought a forest, hid his fortune in it then had to harvest it quickly when he realised it was a bad move.
I feel bad for the tree loving hippies after seeing this.
