The video shows about 12 disc revolutions but the units digit on the kWh reading doesn't even budge. I don't know what John pays, but I pay 11 cents per kWh, so each revolution is some tiny fraction of a penny. Said another way, I can drive about 30 miles on a dollar's worth of electricity. Driving on electricity is cheap, even letting a dozen of your closest friends charge their EVs at your house once in a while isn't going to break the bank.
