@OneMoreGamePleaseMom By 'punch through them' I mean strike through your target. Don't stop at the surface level. Actually sink your strikes into your opponent. You will generate more power this way.

you guys should get together with your friends, get gloves and maybe mouthguards and just practice. it sounds pretty stupid when you hear it. but honestly, fighting your friend is the best way to go about it. you arent gonna get your shit rocked and keep getting nailed with punches, and theres no hard feelings, win or lose. ive been fighting my friends for a while and its a good way to kill some time. or to get some experience.

@muaythai4mma For a reason, I won't show a video of how I train with the robot arms in recent months. With the psi preassure turned way up, the arms are VERY fast and requires different type of block because of the power they have. I only run both arms at the same time not knowing what arm will fire and what combo, because that is the true way. If I keep my stomach muscles tense at all times, I'm about 10 ms faster blocking. It may be because the torso is more "locked".

@michealjohnedmondson You don't have to compete. Take a couple of years to learn the Art and when you feel comfortable then you may choose to compete. The important thing is to get to the gym and start training.

@NobleJoyous I honestly don't see how people could punch comfortably with the index and middle knuckles, you'd have to turn your wrist to a very risky angle if you were to throw a straight punch, and I also feel like I would be inaccurate if I were to try and aim with the first two knuckles.
Great video and teacher! My only question is about muscle tension. I have a robot arm that is adjustable in speed, and when I purposely leave an opening for the punch's path and then try to block it, if I am very relaxed I can't block as fast as when I have a low percentage of muscle tension. Studies show that about 10% tension is faster than totally relaxed. I don't know what my tension is but it certainly makes a difference when blocking very fast punches. I will do a video sometime of it.
