Depends on if you're shooting harsh environments or not. On more recent tests, the newer Nikon's seemed to hold up better in extreme cold than the equiv. Canon.
That being said, both companies make great gear. Neither being overall better than the other.

Estoy de acuerdo, Canon es el Imperio, a mi siempre me gusto mas las naves imperiales que esa tartana del halcon milenario :-)
Aunque, hay que reconocer que Nikon por fin se ha puesto las pilas, la D3 y la D700 son la hostia, Canon: ahora te toca a ti. A ver si la nueva 5D le poneis medicion multipunto, autolimpieza y los niveles de ruido a ISO altos que Nikon tiene ahora.

I agree with peter. I do wildlife and canon seems to have the edge there while Nikon is better with studio work from what I've heard. There is a reason Canon has 52% of the market share: their equipment is cheaper and equal or better quality then its competitors. I must say thought that Nikons new pro body is pretty impressive, but their lenses are too expensive for my taste.

I don't support monopolies such as Canon [52% market share], I'd rather spend 200 to 500 bucks more to support a brand such as Nikon (, Pentax or even Leica oO).

Papa debes de tener mucho dinero para usar Canon además Nikon es Nikon asi que si alguien tiene en dinero que compre por 6000 el 1Ds pero sino el Nikon D3 asi que esa es la verdadera resitencia, Canon tiene toda la publicidad acaparada
