A landmark series of sculptures by the celebrated British artist Antony Gormley consisting of six life-sized figures positioned between the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the sea.

The project was launched in June 2010 at a cost £400,000 (£67,000 per figure) and was commissioned with the support of The Art Fund, The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, The Patrons of the National Galleries of Scotland, Claire Enders and The Henry Moore Foundation.

Recently two of the statues ( IV & V ) apparently disappeared because they were designed to tip over during periods high water activity.

Art officials arranged subsequently for the two statues concerned to be returned to an upright position and a thorough investigation of each site is to be undertaken.
