this is a Douglas DC-8 in Thai airways livery landing @ Bangkok intl airport in Thailand. In reality, there are not many dc-8's left in service.

  • Such a late landing

  • where did you get the plane

  • +1 for the music, that was a welcome change.

  • @MrKyvegas00 hahahaha. Good humor :-)

  • Can we say, "floatplane"? It must have been a 14,000 foot runway.

  • big ass flare

  • The DC-8 does not make it's final approach pitched nose up like this. A normal DC-8 approach is flown nose down all the way to the flare. The only time you'd see one pitched up is if it was low on the glideslope.

  • That was a very poor landing - you floated along for over half the runway before touching down.

You should have performed a go-around.

  • iN 1979 THAI used DC-8 on Rome-Athens-Karachi-Bangkok route.

DC-8 were used untill 1985 on regional and domestic thai routes.

  • sweet!
