It don't make any sence to put a jetdrive on a v bottom boat.. A jet drive is made to run shallow water A V bottom boat is not and you just lost 30% of your hp with a jetdrive...

WIth the outboard jet drive on the Yamaha 60 the boat goes 32 mph. When we are just running the normal gearbox, it goes 43 mph.

The boat in this video is too small for anything heavier than a 70 horse... Our bigger Wavebreaks can take heavier motors...

Here in new zealand we take our boats everywhere - rivers, seas and lakes. Outboard jets let us go shallow whenever desired. The outboard leg will plane faster...

All outboard jet units will cause your horsepower to decrease by 30% regardless of the boat. The boat in the video is set-up to run from a river out to the sea, so it required a delta vee bottom to get a decent ride in the sea. It still runs fine in six inches of water...
