Typewriter Repairmen 2010 NURC Green Charging

The Typewriter Repairmen use solar power to recharge the batteries for their underwater ROV "Babs". This is the solar charging system, in use. The 40W panel provides about two amps to the pack of four 12v batteries. The charge controller limits voltage to 14.1v to prevent overcharging. Babs will be competing in the 2010 National Underwater Robotics Challenge in Chandler, AZ this weekend.
