I just bought a 99 Jayco 12 SF pop up. First time out, it took me about 30-40 minutes to set up. If you try setting it up or breaking it down and you are in a hurry. You will rip canvas, seats and crush/damage things. Hey, you are camping. Take your time. Theres no rush, unless a big storm is approaching. Nice video.

how about using a drill with attachment for cranking all thos thing???

The lightest pop-up in the market (for the same length) is the Jayco. Their Jayco-1007 is below 1600 lb and comes with electric brake, which mean you only need a small SUV or sedan car to pull. Note, with electric brake your tolling vehicle doubles it's rated towing capability.

how can people say thats alot of work?? not much different then setting up a camp site with a tent, fire pit, bbq etc etc. then again i bet most of you saying its alot of work prefer hotel rooms to actually being outside

OMG that took so long even at 5x!!! It only takes me 15 minutes to setup our popup without a slide out...

I clocked my set up of my coleman tacoma.. and the first time it took me 23 minutes to level, set up, and unpack. Secound time took me like 18ish secounds, and 3rd time took me I think 20secounds. And what I do too make it easier, Is when I fold the table up and put it in stored position. Instead of putting it right side up, I store it upside down. which lets me open it up a little quicker..
Man,that seem like alot of work.I'm fixing to buy one in March-2010.I really like the Colemans.Anyone have any advice?

Yes, they typically take about 35 - 45 mins (doing everything right) to level, open up, then start to unpack. But the trade-off is they take up less space than a travel trailer to store, and being light enough for most SUVs to pull.

It wouldn't be recommended: we had a 6 cyl. Taurus and it's tow rating was around 1,000 lbs...this trailer (12ft. box with a slide-out) loaded is 3,000 lbs or more, so we bought a Trailblazer with a 6,100 lbs. towing capacity.
