    Dear Dr. Woods,

I am a great admirer of your work and a big fan! I am very confused, however, as to the point of videos like this one. Talking to progressives about anything or trying to persuade them to support Ron Paul is simply silly. You talk about data in your video (data proving that more government is bad and less government is good). Well I think as a good empiricist you should look at the data of what percentage of progresseives are persuaded by argument like that. I would guess 0.0%.

The point of the video is not to win over progressives, though such a thing does happen once in a while. (Normally not from just one video.) It's to help Ron Paul supporters answer these standard arguments, and reassure them that Dr. Paul's positions are perfectly defensible. It also shows people on the fence that the Weiss side of things is not the whole story.

Where can I find sources to up to 70% of welfare money gets eaten by bureaucracy. Also that statement it cost 5 dollars to get 1 dollar to the poor.

The 70% figure comes from New York's welfare system but is probably not far removed from any government system. On the second statement, I discuss this in Rollback, my book from earlier this year.

i also hate that term "liberal"....i feel like its been stolen and the meaning changed, i feel i am far more "liberal" as a libertarian then any self proclaimed progressive "liberal"..........they are pretty conservative when it comes to telling people what to do as a society based on their utopian ideals.

be quite so much about "liberty", with sanctions on where things could be such as restaurants could be, taxing peoples "bad behavior" based upon their arbitrary ideal of a Utopian "greater good" that they feel should be made futile for anyone to fight against, regardless of what they want in their own lives. i read some libertarian philosophy and ideals, and it turned out, it suited me, and what i "thought" made me liberal, far better.

well, i was mesmerized by the typical "all big business wants to do is eat you alive" mentality, which is pretty strongly inforced by pictures of peoples suffering over the world, and those that profit from it through the use of the government (i had not fully realized the scope of the governments use in this as an incentive, rather then just a tool, if its there, and your a business, you have to do these things, because someone else will, and destroy you). also ive found liberalism not to >>>>>

Google this article to understand Gary Weiss: "Gary Weiss, Psychopath & Scaramouch"

He has an agenda to fulfill for smearing people that can affect the crony practices by the initiation of free markets and the end of mercantilist protections that currently is the industry standard of Wall Street.

i used to be a progressive and i went to ron paul in the 2008 election. I actually know a lot of progressives that converted to libertarianism. A lot of progressives are just sort of brainwashed on economic issues.
