yeah he's just matured and got happier and slightely more vague since then (maybe marijuana is to blame?) how knows he's still fookin awesome!
but i actually know more than his interview persona! because i have a like a 2 hour dvd of behind the scenes of one of their tours in 2007 and he is just the coolest I reckon

oh that's so damn cool. i wish i could hang out with neon ballroom era silverchair! lol i mean now it'd be cool too obviously but dan's really changed since then. it's weird. but hey, i only know his interview persona, i'm not the one who had dinner with him, haha.

Yessss and one of their body guards from neon ballroom / diorama is a good family friend of ours!
he used to eat dinner with them on tour and stuff!

heh, yeah anthem was my introduction to them back then too. then was ana's song and THEN tomorrow. and up until recently, those were the only ones i knew. i figured it'd be like most other bands where they have good singles and you check the rest of their stuff out and it's crap, hahaha. but recently i found all these amazing performances on youtube. that's how i really got to know them. now they're my favorite band!

haha but I remember the first song of theirs I really liked, Anthem of the Year 2000 & I know exactly where that was filmed I've been there many many many times but yeah I was only about 8 or 9 at the time lol

toronto, canada. but they seem to stop by here a lot. their 'live at much music' special, from the freak show days was filmed here. makes me wish i wasn't seven years old at the time. i would've gone, haha. seems they would never have a special devoted to a band that good anymore.
