Hi PinballsMachineGun , I think it's a silverface Super Reverb Amp.

The song title is Cool Struttin' which was originally recorded by Sonny Clark for the Blue Note label.

I keep coming back to this clip. To me, this is some of the best blues guitar I have heard, ever. There is so much feeling and phrasing. David Sandborn is great, but it is Funderburgh´s show here, in my opinion.

In the early years it was "Michelob Present Sunday Night" But later on it was "Night Music".... It was produced by Lorne Michaels from Saturday Night Live.

Anson is so darn good at what he does! There is a difference between "playin' a blues" and "playin THE blues". Playin THE blues is something that has to be earned... and Anson walks the walk and has earned it. Fortunaltely, Sanborn has had (in his earlier years) a bunch of practical experience playing the real blues and no matter how much pop stuff he has done for a living.. you can hear the blues in his tone and he knows how. Muddy Waters said "Blues is tone". Anson can define blues tone!

oh yeh! anson is indeed the man! also muchos respect to the rhythm section (particularly the drummer) from going straight from jazzy blues to straight ahead slow blues. very few jazz drummers TRULY understand how to play the blues. love this vid!
