  • I'm curious, what were the name of the old 1940 1950 comics featuring Donald Duck and his family where they were going on treasure hunts? Weren't those what inspired Ducktales? I would love to read those.

  • @AdamGomez87

These are some of the Carl Barks comics that have been adapted into episodes of Duck Tales:

Land Beneath The Ground (The episode was titled "Earthquack") - Uncle Scrooge #13, 1956

Lost Crown Of Genghis Khan - Uncle Scrooge #14, 1955

Tralla La (The episode was titled "The Land of Tra-La-La") - Uncle Scrooge #6, 1954

Back To The Klondike - Four Color #456 (Uncle Scrooge #2), 1953

    Pleasant reading!

  • 30 second intro? This is how to not make a video.

In the future, please assume people read faster than that. If they don't, the slowpokes can rewind to catch that oh-so-informative text.

  • @nymersic

I totally agree – a 30 second intro is way too long for this type of video. But when I did this film 12 years ago I had never done an intro to a video. Besides that I never thought I would be able to show my animation to more than my family and friends.

Other great adventure stories by Carl Barks:

    Lost In the Andes!

    The Golden Helmet

    The Old Castle´s Secret

    The Second-richest Duck

Look at coa.inducks.org to find more great comics by Carl Barks (and other artists).

  • @wanteddesigndotse thanks, what were the name of those old comics?

  • @AdamGomez87

Scrooge´s number one dime is from the comics of Carl Barks - the creator of Scrooge McDuck.

  • @AdamGomez87

    Thank you very much! :)

  • @Stordrage

Tack så jättemycket för dina fina kommentarer! :) De värmer!

  • I see your point. When I did this animation 12 years ago I never thought anyone else but me was going to see it.

    /Ted

  • I'm curious, his lucky dime was that in the original comic or was that introduced in Ducktales?
